September, 2016 Authors submit abstract to PCIC prior to Philadelphia Conference
Sunday, September 18, 2016 Abstracts are reviewed at the “General Program” meeting. Authors are encouraged to speak on behalf of their abstracts at the General Program meeting on Sunday during the 2016 Philadelphia Conference. PCIC selects abstracts for the 2017 Conference General Program
Tuesday, September 20, 2016 Abstracts allocated the General Program are reserved. The (8) Technical Subcommittees select abstracts from the balance. Authors are encouraged to speak on behalf of their abstracts at the Technical Subcommittee meetings. Abstracts are selected by the Subcommittees based on members’ show of interest at their meetings and to make a viable program for 2017.
Friday, September 30, 2016 Lead authors for selected abstracts have been invited to write papers for the 2017 conference. There is an excess of papers selected so not all papers completed will be presented at the 2017 conference.
Friday, October 07, 2016 Authors of abstracts NOT accepted have been notified and thanked by this time.
Friday, February 03, 2017 Authors MUST have completed paper properly formatted with photographs, charts and graphs submitted to appropriate Technical Subcommittee Chair to be immediately forwarded for peer review. Also, authors submit completed IEEE Copyright Form to Mike Caruso PCIC Publications Vice Chair. Friday, March 03, 2017 Reviews and comments from peers due back to lead authors with copies to Technical Subcommittee Chair
Friday, April 07, 2017 Authors must have submitted final electronic version of paper to the Technical Subcommittee Chair for a final check for formatting and commercialism prior to publication.Comments from paper reviewers must be acknowledged and included where warranted.
Monday, May 01, 2017 Deadline for Technical Subcommittee Chair to direct lead Authors to submit final paper for conference publication. Instructions will be found in the PCIC Conference Paper Submittal Procedure but requires Chair to approve paper is completed and ready.
Monday, May 01, 2017 Technical Subcommittee chairs select completed papers for the 2017 conference in Calgary. Each Subcommittee selects 6 papers for presentation. Extra papers (one or two per Subcommittee) that are completed, presentable, and fully compliant are given Carry-Over status to be presented at the 2018 conference.
Friday, June 02, 2017 Lead authors will begin receiving invitations from ScholarOne for further publication in IAS Transactions or Industry Applications magazine. This requires another copy of the PCIC paper, another copyright release, and a second technical review. This is used to determine annual PCIC prize paper selections and each paper’s eligibility for further publication.
Tuesday, August 01, 2017 Lead authors MUST have completed entering their paper into ScholarOne to be considered for any PCIC prize paper awards and possible publication in IAS Transactions or Industry Applications Magazine.
Friday, September 01, 2017 Authors MUST provide copy of MS PowerPoint presentation to General Program Chair or appropriate Technical Subcommittee Chair for comment and approval.
September 18-20, 2017 Presenting author(s) MUST be registered and attend the 2017 PCIC Technical Conference in Calgary. Presenting author(s) are required to attend the Authors’ Breakfast on the day of their presentation.
