September, 2017 Authors submit abstracts to PCIC prior to 2017 PCIC Conference.
September 17, 2017 Abstracts are reviewed at the General Program meeting at the 2017 PCIC Conference. Authors are encouraged to speak on behalf of their abstracts. General Program leadership selects abstracts for the 2018 PCIC Conference General Program.
September 19, 2017 At the 2017 PCIC Conference, the eight PCIC Technical Subcommittees select abstracts from the remaining abstracts. Authors are encouraged to speak on behalf of their abstracts at the Technical Subcommittee meetings. Abstracts are selected by the Subcommittees based on members’ show of interest at their meetings and to make a viable program for the 2018 PCIC Conference.
September 27, 2017 Lead authors for selected abstracts have been invited to write papers for the 2018 PCIC Conference. There is an excess of papers selected so not all papers completed will be presented at the 2018 PCIC Conference.
September 30, 2017 Authors of abstracts NOT accepted for the 2018 PCIC Conference have been notified and thanked by this time.
January 26, 2018 Authors MUST have completed paper properly formatted with photographs, charts and graphs submitted to General Program Chair or appropriate Technical Subcommittee Chair to be immediately forwarded for peer review.
February 23, 2018 Reviews and comments from peers due back to lead authors with copies to General Program Chair or appropriate Technical Subcommittee Chair.
March 30, 2018 Lead authors must have submitted final electronic version of paper to the General Program Chair or appropriate Technical Subcommittee Chair for a final check for formatting and commercialism prior to publication.Comments from paper reviewers must be acknowledged and included where warranted. Once papers are approved, lead authors receive invitations from ScholarOne Manuscripts to complete the copyright and submittal of final papers for plagiarism check.
May 1, 2018 Technical Subcommittee Chairs select completed papers for the 2018 PCIC Conference. Each Subcommittee selects six papers for presentation. Extra papers (one or two per Subcommittee) that are completed, presentable, and fully compliant, are given Carry-Over status to be presented at the 2019 conference.
September 1, 2018 Authors MUST provide copy of MS PowerPoint presentation to General Program Chair or appropriate Technical Subcommittee Chair for comment and approval.
September 24 – 28, 2018 Presenting author(s) MUST be registered and attend the 2018 PCIC Technical Conference in Cincinnati. Presenting author(s) are required to attend the Authors’ Breakfast on the day of their presentation.
